Iranian firm to drill oil wells in Turkmenistan

National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) will drill six oil wells for Turkmenistan at a cost of $ 20 mm per annum.
"The NIDC won the contract to drill six deep oil wells on the seashore of Turkmenistan's Chellah region, Dariush Chehrazi,” an official in the NIDC, said.

Referring to the transfer of the Iranian oil drilling platform, Khazar, to the exploration sight in Chellah, he said the oil rig could drill wells as deep as 1,000 metres.
