Iran and Ukraine discuss oil and gas cooperation

Iran and Ukraine in Kiev discussed expansion of economic cooperation particularly in the fields of oil, gas and agriculture.
Iran's Ambassador to Kiev Bahman Taherian Mobarakeh and the managing director of Rey Investment Company held a meeting with Ukrainian deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh.

Taherian Mobarakeh pointed to Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko's initiative on expansion of economic cooperation with Iran in oil and gas fields, purchase of grain from Ukraine and the need for expansion of bilateral trade cooperation.
He said Rey Investment is among giant Iranian firms involved economic activities in Ukraine.

The managing director of Rey Investment pointed to the two countries' agreements on implementation of joint oil and gas projects in Iran and expressed his country's readiness to bolster cooperation with Ukraine.
The Ukrainian official stressed the need for strengthening of cooperation with Iran and welcomed measures adopted by Rey Investment to this end.
