Norway Deputy Oil Minister, Oluf Oluseth, expressed the desire of boosting the ties between his country and Angola, mainly in the oil sector.
Speaking alongside the seminar "Angola-Norway, a Partnership for Future", that official mentioned the importance of interchange between the two markets, due to the existing business potentialities for both countries.

Commenting on Norway potentialities in this area, Oluf Oluseth spoke on the 40 years of oil activities in his country, what enabled the development of technologies for exploration in deep waters and the shelf industry.
At the meeting, individualities of both states analysed the existing cooperation, mainly in the oil field, an area in which the Norwegian firms Statoil and Hydro work.

The seminar is part of the activities held to commemorate the 100 years of Norway's independence.
The European country opened officially its office in Angola in January 1997.
