Angola introduces unleaded petrol countrywide

Oct 14, 2005 02:00 AM

Unleaded petrol, whose launching in the country took place last September by the Oil Ministry will start to be used now, replacing in that way the leaded one.
According to the Oil Ministry, the elimination of the leaded petrol aims to reduce environmental pollution and improve the preservation of nature.

However, this measure is included in the objectives of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), according to which until the end of 2005 the member countries should use only unleaded petrol.
