Egypt offers thirteen oil exploration blocks in Gulf of Suez

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) announced that it was offering 13 exploration blocks in the Gulf of Suez for auction and the Eastern and Western Deserts.
Bids should be submitted by February 13, 2006, EGPC said.

Egypt's crude oil production was 575,000 bpd in September and natural gas output was 4.87 bn cf (137.9 mm cm) per day.
At the start of this year, Egypt began exports of liquefied natural gas.
