Russian oil production up 2.4 % from start of year

Crude oil production in Russia climbed 2.4 % during the first nine months of 2005, reaching 349.4 mm tons, the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry said.
The ministry, citing the operating figures of CDU-TEK, a state-owned company managing the energy sector, said oil production during September totalled 39 mm tons, and 119.1 mm tons in the third quarter.

In September, Russia exported 20.4 mm tons of oil, and 62.2 mm in the third quarter. Year-on-year, oil exports during the first nine months were down by 2.2 mm tons to 188.4 mm.
Primary distillation of crude in Russian refineries amounted to 17.3 mm tons in September, and 53.4 mm tons in the third quarter (up 19,800 tons year-on-year).

Production of oil products rose during the first nine months of the year: gasoline production reached 23.7 mm (up 1.4 mm tons year-on-year), diesel production was 44 mm tons (up 3.3 mm), heating oil production was 41.3 mm tons (up 2.5 mm), and jet fuel production was 6.2 mm tons (up 315,900).
