The Turkish section of the BTC pipeline will be guarded by two brigades of the Turkish army on a permanent basis. The significant work has been performed to guard the pipeline from any risks, including physical damage, military and biological interference, as well as the environment.

Turkish special troops will be patrolling the pipeline along its whole extension. Each 15 days special aircraft will be making BTC shots.
