Ecuador reports on oil exports

Ecuador's oil export revenues totalled $ 2.95 bn between January and May, a 58 % increase from the $ 1.87 bn registered in the same period of 2005, the central bank said.
In terms of volume, Ecuador exported 59 mm barrels in the first five months of 2006, up 9 % from the 54 mm barrels shipped one year early. That translates into exports of 390,728 bpd between January and May from 357,616 bpd registered in the same period of 2005.

According to the central bank, the average price of crude in the five months increased 43 % to $ 49.89 per barrel from $ 34.84 a barrel reported in 2005 period.
According to the official data, of the total exported by the country between January and May, 32.02 mm barrels, or 54 %, were sold by private companies operating in Ecuador, obtaining revenue of about $ 1.56 bn. The remaining was exported by state-run PetroEcuador.
