Dec 08, 2006 01:00 AM

Petrobras has said its Manati MNT 3 well off Brazil flowed 1 mm cmpd during a production test, confirming results from previous wells in the field.
The State Bahia Environmental Agency (CRA) has granted the operating licence for the onshore facilities of the Manati project, while operator Petrobras is still waiting for the environmental license from Ibama for the offshore facilities in order to start production.

The Manati field is in offshore exploration licence BCAM 40. Operator Petrobras holds 35 %. Its partners include Queiroz Galvao Perfuracoes with 55 % and Norwegian outfit Norse Energy with 10 %.
First production has fallen behind schedule as Norse had earlier said it was aiming for output to begin by the end of September.
