Vietnam and Venezuela to cooperate in energy and mining

Vietnam and Venezuela will strengthen cooperation in the fields of their potential, including oil and gas, mining, production of consumer goods, agriculture and fisheries, officials said.
During their working sessions, local senior officials and visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Venezuela Hely Vladimir Villegas also planned to hold the first meeting of the Inter-governmental Cooperation Commission in Caracas soon to work out cooperative measures.

They shared the same view about the fine development in the two countries’ friendship and multifaceted cooperation.
The deputy minister affirmed Venezuela’s support for Vietnam's application to the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in the 2008-09 term. He said Venezuela attached importance to Vietnam's position in the region and the world and he hoped to boost relations with Vietnam.
