Petronas Carigali develops new oil fields
New oil fields were being developed to maintain the national oil corporation’s target, Petronas Carigali
managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Abdullah Karim said.
He said new fields were being built and work was going on to further develop existing ones.
“We also plan to add more platforms and bring life to old wells,” he told at the 12th Asia Oil and Gas
Conference 2007.
Earlier, it was reported that Malaysia was to maintain its crude oil production of 600,000 to 650,000 bpd, even after
the launch of major deepwater fields over the next five years.
