Ukraine to increase export of electricity to Slovakia

Ukraine intends to increase volume of electricity export to Slovakia. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated. According to Yatsenyuk, the visit of President Viktor Yushchenko to Slovakia has several aspects, one of which is economic.
“It is extremely important for Ukraine to sell own export production, which is electricity,” he emphasized.

Yatsenyuk has also informed that in connection with growth of industrial production in Slovakia there is a deficit of electricity, that’s why at the negotiations the delegations of two countries will discuss the increase of electricity delivery to Slovakia.
Beside, Yatsenyuk has told that it is planned to sign an agreement on amendments to the Agreement between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic on social security.
