The Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company says a total of $ 90 bn will be invested in Iran's gas industry by 2025. It is predicted that a total of $ 130 bn will be invested in Iran's various economic projects and, given the importance of the gas sector, the bulk of the investment is expected to be made in this sector, Reza Kasaei-Zadeh said.
"According to the country's 20-Year Vision document, a total of 53,000 km of gas pipelines are to be laid," he added.

Kasaei-Zadeh pointed out that although a lot has been done by his colleagues in the NIGC, more efforts are needed to keep pace with the goals set out in the 20-Year Vision document.
"We need to increase the country's gas output by 30 mm cm every year, which is the equivalent of the output from one phase of the South Pars project," he noted.
