Iran plans to put one of its most abundant resources to use by building the country's largest solar energy plant in the west of the country.
The governor of the Lurestan province has recently announced plans to build the nation's largest solar energy plant in an area near the western city of Azna.

The Azna solar plant, which will cost approximately EUR 350-450 mm to build, will provide energy for nearby factories.
In the near future, the nearby factories will require approximately 350 MW of electricity.
