Iran and Gazprom to expand cooperation
The Caspian Sea summit has prepared the grounds for Iran's wide cooperation with Russia's Gazprom, says an Iranian
oil ministry official.
Deputy Oil Minister in International Affairs, Hossein Noghrehkar Shirazi, said the Caspian Sea littoral states
summit, as well as Gazprom officials' visit to Iran, has created proper grounds for Iran's cooperation with the
Russian energy firm.
Shirazi said the two sides have agreed to cooperate on oil and gas sectors, as well as developments for refineries,
pipelines, and some phases of South Pars projects.
He also said that the National Iranian Oil Company and Gazprom have formed working delegations to expand cooperation
on the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector, as proposed by the Russian firm.
