Iran can produce 4.2 mm bpd of oil

Nov 04, 2007 01:00 AM

A senior Iranian oil official has announced that Iran has the potential to boost its daily crude output to 4.2 mm barrels by March 20.
The country's average oil production jumped from 4.08 mm bpd to 4.11 mm bpd on August 23, said Caretaker Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari. He added that Iran's crude output reached 4.135 mm bpd in the beginning of the autumn.

Nozari said that the 7 main industrialized countries altogether collect $ 2,300 bn in taxes from their people annually.
However, given the expenses of oil production and drilling, the revenue of the world crude producers are even less than the tax earned by the industrialized states.
