EnCore strikes gas in North Sea
UK-based oil & gas explorer EnCore Oil said it has encountered "significant" gas shows in the East Breagh well in
the North Sea.
EnCore has a 15 % stake in the field, located on the Southern North Sea Block 42/13, while operator Sterling
Resources owns 45 %. Faroe Petroleum and Stratic Energy each hold a 10 % stake.
EnCore said initial analysis showed the presence of a 72 foot net gas bearing interval at the 42/13-4 well.
The joint-venture partners have agreed to a testing program to further evaluate the potential productivity at this
part of the field, EnCore added.
