Norwegian Continental Shelf's average oil production at 2.1 mm boepd

Oct 10, 2008 02:00 AM

The average daily production was about 1,993,000 barrels of oil, about 250,000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 64,000 barrels of condensate, a total of 2,306,000 barrels of liquid.
In July 17.3 mm cm of oil equivalents were produced. This is 1.1 mm cm of oil equivalents less than in August 2007.

Production from the Glitne, Norne, Snorre, Sleipner Ost, Troll and Urd fields have been partly closed due to planned maintenance in August. The Kvitebjorn and Visund fields have had reduced production du to leakage in a gas pipe. Vilje started production on July 1.
So far this year the average daily production has been about 2.1 mm barrels of oil and a total of about 2.5 mm barrels of liquid. The total production is about 159.8 mm cm of oil equivalents. This is 3.6 mm cm of oil equivalents higher than in the same period last year.

Preliminary production figures for September 2008 show an average daily production of about 1.988 mm barrels of oil and 0.197 mm barrels of NGL and condensate. The Oseberg Ost, Snorre and Vigdis fields have been partly closed due to planned maintenance in September. The Kvitebjorn field has been closed whole month due to leakage in a gas pipe.
The final figures will be available in the beginning of November 2008.
