Azerbaijan reports on February oil output
Azerbaijan produced 3.786 mm tons of crude oil in February, up 4.4 % from January, Azerbaijan's state statistics
agency said. That totals a daily average of 991,121 barrels for the month, up 6.3 % from January.
The BP-led consortium that operates Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block in the Caspian Sea produced 3.1 mm tons
for the month, up 6.9 % from January. State oil company SOCAR produced 686,740 tons in the month, 5.7 % lower than in
January.
Last year, Azerbaijan produced 44.5 mm tons of crude oil, or 893,658 bpd.
Azeri officials forecast 2009 production to total 50 mm tons.
