Ukraine and Azerbaijan to build oil refinery

A report of the joint commission for the creation of an oil processing complex will be heard in the course of the Ukraine-Azerbaijan talks in Baku, the President's energy security commissioner, Bohdan Sokolovskyi told.
"The Azerbaijan-Ukraine commission has worked out several variants of the project for the creation of a join oil refining complex," he noted.

Asked where the complex will be located, Sokolovskyi said it may be Ukraine's Yuzhnyi seaport (Odessa region), Kherson region, or West Ukraine. He also noted that one of the subjects for the Ukraine-Azerbaijan talks would be also that of modernization of Ukraine's gas transportation system.
Ukraine has six functioning oil refineries with the aggregate processing capacity of 51.11 mm tpy.
