Algeria and Italy speed up Galsi pipeline project

Algeria and Italy plan to accelerate construction of the Galsi gas pipeline, Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khelil
as saying on May 31st.
After meeting with Italian Economic Development Minister Claudio Scajola, Khelil said the pipeline, set to export 8
bn cm of gas per year to Italy, will get under way in 2010.
The ministers also agreed to increase the TransMed pipeline capacity by 7 bn cm per year.
