TNK-BP to triple 2010 exploration investments

Anglo-Russian oil producer TNK-BP plans to invest $ 400 mm in exploration this year, a threefold increase from 2009, the company said.
TNK-BP, 50 %-owned by UK oil major BP, will focus its effort on seismic exploration in fields in Yamal, Uvat, Orenburg, Timan Pechora and Astrakhan.

The company also said it expects to increase drilling volumes by 40 % from last year's level.
