Russian deliveries of oil to China grow

Russian oil deliveries to China along a branch of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline reached 30mm tons over 2 years, a representative of the Chinese Petrochina company has announced.

 

He stressed that the pipeline has become an important factor of the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

According to the bilateral agreement for 20 years, the pipeline is to provide China with 15 mm tons of crude oil a year.

Deliveries began on the 1st of January 2011.
