Ukraine to buy 26 bn cubic meters of Russian gas in 2013

Ukraine will buy around 26 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia in 2013, Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said on December 13, as cited by RIA Novosti..

“Russian gas consumption by Ukraine will be 40% less than in 2010. It is approximately 26 billion cubic meters against 37 billion cubic meters,” Azarov said.

Ukraine planned to import buy 27.3 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, including 18 billion cubic meters directly from Gazprom, 8 billion cubic meters from Ostchem, held by Ukrainian tycoon Dmitry Firtash, and 1.3 billion cubic meters from German gas trader RWE Supply&Trading. -
