Mexico's Pemex awarded OneSubsea a US$270mm subsea production contract for the Lakach oilfield, the first deepwater field the NOC will develop.

In a statement, OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, said it will supply a seven-well system with production equipment and tooling, as well as installation and commissioning services. Work is scheduled to begin in June 2016.

"The Lakach field is a significant development for Mexico, and OneSubsea looks forward to providing the best-in-class equipment and services that will help them optimize production," said Cameron CEO Jack Moore.

OneSubsea provides reservoir recovery for the subsea oil and gas industry.
