Lukoil cumulative Uzbekistan gas output hits 1 Tcf
Lukoil announced that it has cumulatively produced 30 billion cubic meters (1.05 trillion cubic feet) of natural gas at its projects in Uzbekistan.
The energy company stated that around 85 percent of this output has come from the Khauzak-Shady field, which is located in the Bukhara Province. Commercial gas production at the Khauzak-Shady field started in November 2007 and the West Shady site was put into operation in 2011.
In 2014, a booster compressor station was started up at the field, which resulted in a 20 increase in production, according to Lukoil. To date, cumulative production at the Khauzak-Shady field exceeds 25 bcm (882 billion cubic feet).
The remaining gas output has come from the Gissar field. Natural gas production under the Southwest Gissar Project began in December 2011 and in spring 2013, the Gissar Full Development Project entered the execution phase. So far, cumulative production at the Gissar field has amounted to about 5 bcm (176 billion cubic feet).
