Petrobeira to build more oil and gas storage facilities in Mozambique
Petrobeira plans to build seven storage facilities for natural gas condensate and other liquid fuels at its facility
in Munhava, in the city of Beira.
The company said that the storage units would be built within the its oil complex, close to the fuel terminal in the
rail-port facility of Beira. The new storage units will be built on an area of 40,000 sq metres and have a total
capacity of 77,000 cm.
The natural gas condensate, which is produced nationally, that will be stored there, will be exported to several
parts of the world or transformed at the facility itself into gasoline with the specifications required by the
market.
Diesel and gasoline stress at Petrobeira are mainly sold to the Southern Africa regional market, namely to
Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
