Gazprom eyes work in South Africa

Russian gas giant Gazprom and a number of other Russian companies have shown interest in cooperating with South Africa in several ways, says a protocol of a meeting of a joint intergovernmental committee on trade and economic cooperation between Russia and South Africa.
Russia is considering participating in developing South Africa's raw materials base, implementing major oil and gas transport projects, conducting scientific research and engineering work on order of South African companies, and preparing and transporting natural gas.
