PetroVietnam signs up to operate in Sudan and Angola
The state-owned oil and gas conglomerates of Vietnam and Sudan have signed a cooperation agreement on exploring for
and producing oil and gas in the two countries.
The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, PetroVietnam and the Sudanese National Oil and Gas Corporation, Sudapet have
agreed to discuss the contract in more detail in Sudan.
The agreement, signed during a visit to Sudan by senior executives from PetroVietnam, will also enable both firms to
expand their operations in a third country in Africa.
During an earlier visit to Angola, PetroVietnam also agreed on a plan to explore for oil and gas with the Angolan
National Oil and Gas Corporation, Sonangol.
