Sofregaz wins gas contracts from Sonatrach
The French Engineering firm Sofregaz has been awarded five front end engineering and design (FEED) contracts worth $
64.55 mm by the state-owned Algerian energy giant Sonatrach.
The contracts involve designing segments of Algeria's new gas pipeline network.
The five contracts will involve the design of the gas pipeline and associated facilities from fields in the
south-west of Algeria to Hassi R'Mel, a new national gas dispatching centre at Hassi R'Mel, the setting up of air
coolers on the 15 compressor stations of three gas pipelines from Hassi R'Mel to Arzew, two compressor stations on
the planned gas pipeline going from Hassi R'Mel to Beni Saf and the final compression station of the planned gas
pipeline from Rhourde Nous to Hassi R'Mel.
"These contracts allow us to renew our cooperation with our historical client Sonatrach," the company said.
Sofregaz is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Italian contractor Technimont.
