Uganda selects main contractor for oil pipeline

Czech Skoda Export has been selected as the main contractor for the Kenya-Uganda oil pipeline extension, sources have said.
The main contractor in a complex deal like the 320 km oil pipeline extension which Tamoil won last year, does the engineering accruement and construction work.

"Tamoil is also determining where the actual pipeline route should now be as well as signing contracts with others parties such as suppliers.”
“It is also giving us drafts of other agreements necessary for the work," an energy ministry official said.
