Sonangol, BPA and EdP sign agreement
Angola's oil company Sonangol Holding, the Banco Privado Atlantico (BPA) and the Portuguese firm EdP signed in
Lisbon, Portugal, a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a strategic joint venture.
BPA said that the joint venture aims to develop and implant units of electricity production in Angola through a
centre of combined circles, hydraulic, solar panels and wind energy.
In the joint venture, the Angolan parities hold more than two thirds of the capital and enjoy a strategic relation
with a technical partner with high expertise in the sector of conventional energy, including natural gas and renewed
energy.
With this agreement signed recently in Lisbon, the investors want to contribute to the production of electric energy,
with a view to the social and economic development of Angola.
