Morocco and Spain link power grids

Morocco and Spain began installing a high-tension power line linking the two countries. Office National de l'Electricite (ONE) said in a statement the cable had been fixed on the Moroccan side in Ferdioua, near the northern city of Tangier and would reach the Spanish town of Tarifa. ONE said the network would be operational by September 1997.
