Morocco has launched a pre-selection tender to build a $ 500 mm power station in the northern Tangiers province.
The Office National d'Electricite (ONE) utility said in a published statement that applications should be sent to its headquarters at the latest on October 6, 1998.
ONE said earlier the up to 470 MW combined-cycle station would be built at Tahaddart and be operational by 2002.
The station would use about 500 mm cm of Algerian gas per year, ONE had said.
