Dubai giant enters Kenyan oil market

Leading oil marketing company Galana Oil Kenya has been appointed the sole distributor of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) range of lubricants, engine oils and other specialised products. Galana Oil Managing Director George Kahira describes the move as a major development for the company, which is keen to pursue business growth and revenue streams through new products.
The Kenya outfit has dedicated Lubricants Business Unit and has also partnered with courier companies for overnight deliveries countrywide. In order to enhance its distribution capacity, Galana Oil Kenya plans to invest Ksh 500,000 mm in 13 service stations over the next year.

The Kenyan oil industry has changed with the departure of major multinational companies like Caltex, Shell and BP, giving local outfits opportunity to deliver products and services that meet world standards.
Galana Oil was established ten years ago to import, distribute and market petroleum products in East and Central Africa. It trades under theDelta brand name (under licence from Delta Oil USA) and has acquired significant foothold in Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Tanzania.

Mohamed El Sadek, the ENOC lubricants manager says the company has a proven track record in Middle East, Asia and Africa for quality and excellence. It enjoys a wide array of approvals as the leading engine and machinery manufactures including Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, MAN and Mack trucks.
The United Arab Emirates based ENOC is one of the sponsors of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) which since its launch in 1996, has hoisted the city as the leading hub for travel and tourism in the world.
