Turkmen gas ensures China's energy security

The Turkmenistan-China pipeline plays an important role in ensuring the economic and energy security of China and Turkmenistan, China's Ambassador to Ashgabat Xiao Qingh said.
The message is timed to the celebration of the 62nd Founding Anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

The Turkmen gas exports to China were first launched in 2009 with the commissioning of the international gas pipeline passing through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The pipeline was built by the Chinese company CNPC, which has a license to produce raw materials in the right bank of the Amu Darya.
Qingh said the two countries successfully cooperate in the oil and gas sphere 'thanks to the direct support and attention of Chinese President Hu Jintao and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov."

About 40 enterprises with the Chinese capital operate in Turkmenistan and 60 investment projects involving Chinese companies is being realized here.
