Kazakh eight-month oil output up

Kazakhoil, Kazakhstan national oil company, produced 3,664,000 tonnes of oil in the first eight months of 1999, up 3.8 % year on year and 133,100 tonnes more than the target for the period.
The company said 70.5 % of output was exported and the remainder was sold domestically. Kazakhoil said, "all conditions are in place to ensure oil production of no less than the 1998 level of 5,325,000 tonnes".
