Turkmenistan ready to sell natural gas to Russia and Europe

Turkmenistan is ready to sell Russia and export to European countries via Russia up to 50 bn cm of natural gas a year
in addition to selling 30 bn cm of gas a year to Pakistan, President Saparmurat Niyazov said.
Niyazov, who made the offer in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, also invited Russia to
take part in laying a gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan.
Niyazov and Putin also made an agreement during their conversation for their countries to build up their cooperation in the oil and gas industry. Diplomatic sources in Ashgabat told that Turkmen and Russian experts might start consultations on gas issues in the Turkmen capital.
