Kazakhstan increases electricity output

Kazakhstan produced 36.873 bn kW/h of electricity in January-July 2003, up 10 % from the same period in 2002, the
National Statistics Agency told.
At the same time the republic imported 1.104 bn kW/h for $ 14.3 ml in January-June, down 3 % less and up 11 %
respectively compared with January-June 2002. Electricity production in Kazakhstan increased 5.3 % to 58.2
