Egypt discovers 13 natural gas locations in past year
Egypt has discovered 13 natural gas finds in new areas in the Delta and the Mediterranean over the past 12 months,
Oil Minister Samih Fahmi said on 7 September.
He said that the new discoveries will increase gas reserves to around 4 tcf, four times the country's net output of
gas in the last fiscal year.
The minister's statement came following a meeting with officials of the Egyptian Holding Company for Natural Gas to discuss timetables and executive steps to put the newly discovered gas fields on the country's production map.
