Egypt has discovered 13 natural gas finds in new areas in the Delta and the Mediterranean over the past 12 months, Oil Minister Samih Fahmi said on 7 September.
He said that the new discoveries will increase gas reserves to around 4 tcf, four times the country's net output of gas in the last fiscal year.

The minister's statement came following a meeting with officials of the Egyptian Holding Company for Natural Gas to discuss timetables and executive steps to put the newly discovered gas fields on the country's production map.
