Sonatrach makes oil discovery in Illizi basin

Sonatrach reported making an oil discovery in Algeria's Illizi basin with its Ain Antar Is-1 well.
Oil flowed at 3.56 cm/hr from the Devonian reservoir with a pressure of 180 psi through a 32/64-inch choke, Sonatrach
said.
The well was drilled on Block 244A in the Tinrhert area.
So far this year Algeria has reported seven discoveries, five of which were made by international oil companies.
