Norwegian oilfield services company Aker Solutions has signed a frame agreement with ConocoPhillips for future modification contracts on installations in the greater Ekofisk area of the Norwegian North Sea.
"The scope of the agreement is not defined; however, the frame agreement opens up for activities ranging from pre-studies to complete total contracts (engineering, procurement, construction, and installation)," Aker Solutions said. The agreement is valid from now to end of next year, with two two-year extension options.

Earlier, ConocoPhillips awarded an identical contract to Bergen Group. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions also said that opened a new subsea facility at its yard in Egersund, west Norway.
The first project in the new hall will be to carry out assembling and testing of a subsea compression station that Aker Solutions is developing for Statoil and its Ormen Lange development.
