Consortium negotiates shares in gas pipeline via Poland and Baltic Sea

Participants in the consortium to build a link across Poland (Gazprom, Ruhrgas, Wintershall, Gaz de France and Snam) are currently holding negotiations on their shares in this project, said Ruhrgas' Vice President Burckhard Bergmann.
According to Bergmann, two new projects for Russian gas deliveries to Europe (via Poland and the Baltic Sea) are competing with each other. If the Polish route of the gas pipeline wins support in the short term, the construction of the Baltic gas pipeline may be postponed.
