Chevron gets green light to explore Polish shale gas

According to a release, the Environment Ministry of Poland has granted US industry heavyweight Chevron a natural gas exploration license.
Spanning an area of 800 sq km in Poland, the five-year license allows Chevron to carry out seismic studies and exploratory drilling up to 3,500 meters underground, as well as to develop shale gas resources, the report noted.
