First oil flows from North Sea's Shelley field
Premier Oil has turned on the taps at the Shelley field, in the UK sector of the North Sea.
First oil was pumped to the floating production, storage and offloading vessel Sevan Voyageur from the first of two
wells, with a second well due to come on stream shortly.
The field was discovered in 1984 by the 22/2-2 well and lies south of the Premier-operated Balmoral field.
The field is in a Palaeocene Forties reservoir and contains 31 degree API oil.
