Turkey's Investment Support and Promotion Agency and UK-listed wind power investor and development Renewable Energy Systems Holdings, or RES, plan to build wind power generation projects with a capacity of 500 MW in Turkey.
The agency said the projects will cost approximately EUR 750 mm.

The first generating licence should be granted within a next few months, while the projects are expected to take three or four years to complete.
RES Mediterranean Chief Executive Jean-Marc Armitano said Turkey is one of the most important areas for energy sector growth in the Mediterranean.
