Poland's top oil refiner and retailer PKN Orlen signed a three-year contract to buy oil from a Switzerland-based oil and commodities trader Mercuria Energy Trading, PKN Orlen said.
Under the contract, Mercuria will sell 4.8 mm tons of crude oil annually via the Druzhba pipeline from Russia or via the sea.

The value of the contract is around $ 8 bn (EUR 5.6 bn).
The agreement follows a similar deal signed by PKN Orlen with Switzerland-based Souz Petrolium.
