Norsk Hydro to build gas fired power plant in The Netherlands

Norsk Hydro is to build a gas fired power plant at Zeeland in The Netherlands, in cooperation with the Dutch company N.V. Delta. The plant will cost NOK 1.8 bn, and the first generator will be operating in 2004.
The power plant will be built in connection with the Hydro Agri Sluiskil fertilizer plant, NRK reports. It will gradually replace the existing electricity production at the Sluiskil plant, which has a capacity of 70 MW. Completed, the new gas fired plant will produce 800 MW.
