Norway's state-owned electricity company Statkraft announced it has acquired 95 % of Turkey-based Yesil Enerji.
Yesil is a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Investment Holdings and holds controlling interests in seven hydropower projects. The planned hydropower plants will have a combined capacity of 633 MW.

Now Statkraft will invest the necessary $ 820 mm to develop and build the seven plants.
One of the projects is a 20-MW facility and is already under construction. It is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
