ChevronTexaco subsidiary signs Saudi transport deal

NSCSA, National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, 28 % owned by the Saudi government, signed a three-year deal with a subsidiary of ChevronTexaco for transporting its crude oil to the world market.
Chevron will load 12 full shipments or more per annum on NSCSA's ships with a minimum of 6 shipments destined to North America.

NSCSA will transport crude from the Gulf and East Africa to North America, Europe, Australia and East Asia "at a rate band consisting of a floor rate and discounted market rates".
